Julie Koharik is an American journalist working for WZZM as a weekend morning anchor and multi-skilled journalist since joining the station in June 2023. Previously, she worked for KOMU for 3 years.

Koharik joined the University of Missouri in 2019 when she finished her studies at Mascoutah High School. In April 2023, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. During college, she was a Todau Show intern at NBCUniversal in New York City in 2022.
Koharik worked for the NBC affiliate in Columbia, Missouri, KOMU 8 News, all four years. As a sophomore, she learned reporting and producing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Later, she joined the weekend evening team as an executive producer and anchor in 2021.
In Missouri, she did investigative stories surrounding state legislation aimed at trans athletes and LGBTQ+ book bans. One of those stories won her a Hearst Award for TV News. In college, she was involved with the Honors College, Kappa Alpha Theta, Walter Williams Scholar, and Missouri Students Association.
