Justin Clark is an American attorney, former presidential campaign official for Donald J. Trump, and former government official. He spent several years serving as Director of Intergovernmental Affairs and Director of Public Liaison under the Trump administration.
Justin Clark Education
Clark attended Conard High School. He, later on, joined Wesleyan University where he attained his Bachelor of Arts. During his time at Wesleyan University, he was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity and lettered as a midfielder and a defenseman for the varsity lacrosse team. In 2004, he attained his Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

Clark started his political career right after he finished law school after he started working for Associate Justice Peter T. Zarella of the Connecticut Supreme Court. From 2009 to 2013, he was allotted to serve on the Judicial Review Council by Jodi Rell(Connecticut Governor). Furthermore, he was also the co-founder of the Connecticut-based law firm by the name of Davis, Clark & Bonafonte LLC. In this law firm, he focused on federal trial and appellate courts and issued general counsel services to clients. He also shared advice on matters concerning compliance as well as representing them before various regulatory bodies. From 2010 to 2014, he worked for the Connecticut Republican Party serving as General Counsel. While still here, he also managed Tom Foley’s unsuccessful gubernatorial campaigns.
During the 2012 United States Senate campaign, he served as the political director for Linda McMahon’s unsuccessful campaign. Come 2015, he was the General Counsel to Matt Bevin’s successful gubernatorial campaign in Kentucky. Furthermore, he also executed and developed the plan to preserve an 83-vote margin in a recanvass of votes in the May primary. Before he started working for Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, he previously worked for the unsuccessful Chris Christie 2016 presidential campaign serving as Director of Operations. While still working for Chris Christie’s failed campaign, he assisted in managing and developing the budget.
In March 2016, he started working on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign serving as the campaign’s Connecticut state director. In May 2016, he started serving as an advisor to the campaign during the Indiana Republican primary. He was then tagged Deputy National Political Director of the campaign in June 2016. On January 20, 2017, he was appointed as the President’s Director of Intergovernmental Affairs. In March 2018, he was appointed to start his new role serving as the Director of Public Liaison. In this role, he oversaw the political aspects of the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Clark alongside Jesse R. Binnall filed Donald Trump’s appeal to the Washington, D.C. circuit court in 2021. This was due to a failed effort to thwart the release of documents relating to the 2021 United States Capitol attack. He was interviewed by the FBI on 29 June 2022 in a court filing connected to the criminal contempt case of Steve Bannon. Steve is set o go on trial on July 18, 2022, for resisting a subpoena from the Jan. 6 select committee.
