Kandiss Crone Biography

Kandiss Crone is an American award-winning reporter working for CBS2/KCAL9 since joining the team in 2017. Prior to joining the station, she worked at KGTV as a Reporter/ Fill-in Anchor.

Crone is a reporter at CBS2/KCAL9. Since joining the station, Crone has reported on the second-largest wildfire in California’s history the Thomas Fire, the tragic death of NBA legend Kobe Bryant, and the historic LAUSD teacher strike, just to name a few. She has traveled to different places like Nebraska, Mississippi, and Arizona in her career as a broadcaster.

Her first job was working as a production assistant at KABC-TV in Los Angeles. She started humbly by pulling video, printing scripts, and taking coffee to the anchors on set would ultimately pay off and outcome in a full-circle moment, as Crone currently reports alongside some of the same journalists who mentored her.

When she is not working, She loves hiking new trails, singing, attending the Faithful Central Bible Church with her family, and cooking different types of cuisines. Crone is part of the National Association of Black Journalists and has been gifted for her labor on issues that affect the black community. Kandiss additionally loves interacting with viewers and community members on social media.
