Kandy Muse is a 27-year-old from New York City, New York who is best known for being one of the contestants of Season 13 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Originally cast in season twelve, she had to drop out but is now ready to take her competition by storm.

She is best known for the viral “Sitting alone in the VIP” meme, where she appears to be sitting by herself in the VIP area of a club. This meme became so big among Drag Race fans that it even got All-Stars 2 winner Alaska Thunderf**k to release a new single and its subsequent music video.

In 2018, she and her drag sister Dahlia Sin guest-hosted an episode of Fashion Photo RuView, becoming the first hosts of the series that had not (at that time) competed on RuPaul’s Drag Race. Muse went viral on social media after winning Brooklyn Drag Queen of the Year.

Casting for the thirteenth season was announced on December 2, 2019, via YouTube and Twitter. On January 24, 2020, the casting call closed. On August 20, 2020, it was announced the thirteenth season had been ordered by VH1.
