Kate Siefert Biography
Kate Siefert is an American journalist working for WSYX ABC 6/FOX 28 as a weekday evening anchor since joining the station in December 2019. Previously, she worked for WTOV News 9 as a multimedia journalist.
Kate Siefert Education
Siefert joined Ashland University in 2013 when she finished her high school education. In 2017, she graduated with a Bachelor Of Arts degree in Digital Media Journalism and Sport Communication and minors in Entrepreneurship and PR.
During her time in college, she started as a managing editor of The Collegian from September 2013 to May 2017. She then served as the production manager of AUTV-20 from August 2014 to May 2017. From September 2016 to May 2017, she worked as a sideline reporter for Ashland University football and basketball games aired on the university program along with the Sports Time Ohio network. She then worked as a radio host for WRDL-FM from November 2015 to the present at Ashland University. She is also WRDL’s Director of Development Since March 2016 to the present.
Siefert worked as a freelance journalist at WKYC-TV, in Cleveland/Akron, Ohio Area, working from May 2015 to August 2015. From April 2016 to August 2016, she served as an ESPN Cleveland Intern at ESPN, in the Cleveland/Akron, Ohio Area.

Later, she was promoted to work as the station’s morning anchor on NEWS 9 Sunrise. In 2019, Kate relocated to Kalamazoo, Michigan where she served WWMT as a producer of the station’s noon and 5:30 p.m. shows.
