Kathleen Bade is an American journalist working for KUSI FOX 5 as the primetime anchor Monday through Friday at 5, 6, 10, and 11 p.m. since 2008. She went on a career hiatus after serving KFMB Channel 8 for 7 years.

Bade joined the Walter Cronkite School of Telecommunications and Journalism at Arizona State University when she finished her high school education. She later graduated with a Bachelor’s degree. Bade returned to school for a Meteorology degree before working in Phoenix at NBA’s Phoenix Suns in community relations. In this role, she worked with basketball legends including Charles Barkley and Connie Hawkins. Next, she joined CBS Phoenix where she worked as a morning weather anchor. Swiftly, she climbed the ranks to serve the station as a weekend anchor. Due to a market shuffle, she started working for FOX where she debuted “FOX 10 Arizona Morning” as co-host.
Bade arrived in San Diego to serve KFMB Channel 8 after her son was born and served the station for 7 years. While serving the station, she helped find loving homes for children through her work with San Diego County Adoptions. She briefly went on a career hiatus before rejoining the San Diego airwaves in 2008 when FOX 5 San Diego debuted.
Bade has won several Emmys for her work in journalism and recognition for her child advocacy work.
