Katie LaGrone is an American reporter working for WPTV as an investigative reporter. Before joining the station in March 2010, she served as an investigative reporter at WBBH/WZVN in Fort Myers.

She also uncovered restaurants serving customers substitute fish which involved the Food and Drug Administration. For her coverage of the stories, she was honored with a National Edward R. Murrow Award.
Katie started her career as a general assignment reporter at WRBL News in Columbus. She served the station for three years from January 2003 to December 2005. Before that, LaGrone worked for Waterman Broadcasting as a promotion producer from March 2001 to January 2004.
