Katie Morse Biography
Katie Morse is an American journalist working for WKBW as a morning anchor and multimedia journalist since joining the station in October 2014. Previously, she worked for YNN Buffalo at Time Warner Cable News as a news reporter and weekend anchor for nearly 6 years.

Morse joined Kent State University in Ohio in 2003. In 2007, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism. She then furthered her studies at Canisius College while working full-time as a reporter in 2011. In 2014, she graduated with a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing.

Morse won two Emmy awards for the morning show’s broadcast on severe summer weather in 2018 and race-related matters in the City of Buffalo in 2020. She won a nomination for a 2016 Emmy in the category of Feature News Report: Serious.
Before joining WKBW, Morse worked for Time Warner Cable News in Buffalo and Syracuse. She serves as the president of the Buffalo Broadcasters Association and is devoted to helping maintain WNY broadcasting history and individuals who are interested in a future in broadcasting.
