Katrina Irwin is an American journalist working for WROC as a special projects reporter and anchor. She is no stranger to WROC, having first worked for the News 8 team from October 2002 to May 2013. In the fall of 2021, she returned to News 8 as a regular fill-in on the anchor desk.

In the fall of 2021, she returned to News 8 as a regular fill-in on the anchor desk. She looks forward to doing a job she loves and still spend a lot of time at home with her children.
During her career at News 8, Irwin has broadcast numerous stories. Some of her career highlights include broadcasting the LPGA at her beloved Locust Hill Country Club, the PGA Championship at Oak Hill in 2003, and President George W. Bush’s visit in 2006. She is also proud of her Go Green reports, which concentrated on improving the environment. Before working for WROC, Irwin reported for WPTZ in Plattsburgh/Burlington and WWNY in Watertown.
