Keith Kountz Biography
Keith Kountz is an American journalist working for WTNH as an anchor of “Good Morning Connecticut” and the noon news. This is his second time serving the station, as he worked here from 1987 to 1998, when he left for an anchoring position in Jacksonville, Florida. Following his time in Jacksonville, he rejoined the station in 2000.

He has served the station for over 20 years, beginning his career at the station in 1987 as a general assignment reporter. Later, he was promoted to morning and weekend anchor and left the station in 1998 for an anchoring position in Jacksonville, Florida. He returned to WTNH after two years.
In 2010, he received the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Silver Circle Award, which honors individuals who have contributed to the TV industry for over 25 years. Before moving to Connecticut, he worked as an anchor and reporter in South Carolina, Georgia, and New York. Besides his broadcasting work, he has been active with several community service organizations in the New Haven region. Moreover, he has earned more than 50 professional and community service awards.
