Kent Justice Biography
Kent Justice is an American journalist working for News4JAX as a co-anchor at 5 p.m., 10 p.m., and 11 p.m. on weeknights and reports on government and politics. In addition, he hosts “This Week in Jacksonville,” and politics public affairs program each Sunday at 9 a.m. He joined the station in October 2010 and has served the station for more than a decade.

Justice joined Pepperdine University in 1986 when he finished his high school education at James Logan High School. In 1986, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications and Music minor.

An experienced moderator, he worked with CNN’s Jake Tapper in a nationwide televised debate between Florida Govs. Rick Scott and Charlie Crist in 2014.
Recently, Justice worked as a host of a forum with the top gubernatorial candidates in Florida before the primary election. In addition, he has worked as a moderator for congressional candidates for District 4 and District 5, candidates for state attorney, and during an unparalleled three-debates-in-three-nights in August 2016.
Justice has worked as a reporter in Columbus, Ohio, Santa Barbara, the Central Coast, South Dakota, and Montana. His journalism started when he was 17 years old when he served a big San Francisco regional newspaper chain as a sports writer.
Since arriving in Northeast Florida in 2010, he has involved himself in community causes since he arrived. In 2019, he joined the board of directors for the Civic Orchestra of Jacksonville. Previously, he spearheaded the board of directors for the Alzheimer’s Association Central and North Florida Chapter.
Justice has worked as a contributor for the PACT Prevention Coalition of St. Johns County, HandsOn Jacksonville, the Communications Academy Advisory Board at Nease High School in Ponte Vedra, and the ASSIST program for homeless youth in St. Johns County Schools.
Justice also works as a volunteer pastor and musician at his home church in St. Johns County. Also, he helps out with occasions for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, UF Health Night for Heroes, Mayo Clinic, National Philanthropy Day, and National Brain Tumor Society.
