Kevin Ryans Biography

Kevin Ryan is an American sports anchor working at KTVI & KPLP-TV serving as a contributor and sports reporter and anchor. Previously, he worked at KRCG-TV in Jefferson City as a sports anchor and reporter.

Kevin Ryans Education

Ryans attended William C. Bryant High School in 2009 where he graduated in 2013 with a diploma in Science and Mathematics. He then enrolled at Syracuse University where he attained a degree in Digital Journalism and a minor in Sports Management in 2017.

While studying, he was hired for two months as a creative services intern at NYC & Company in New York. After that, he worked for Elmira Pioneers as a broadcast intern from May 2015 to August 2015. Besides this, he also served as a tutor at SU Literacy Corps from September 2013 to December 2015. Later on, he moved and landed a role as a sports staff at WJPZ Radio from December 2014 to March 2017. From there, he worked as a sports writer at WAER Radio in Syracuse, New York.

Ryans works as a sports anchor and reporter at both Fox 2, KTVI, and KPLR in St Louis, Missouri. Before joining the station in May 2022, Kevin spent two years and three years working for KRCG-TV in Jefferson City. There, he served as a sports anchor and reporter from March 2020 to May 2022. Previously, Ryan worked as a weekend sports anchor at KSN-TV in Joplin, Missouri. During his tenure there, he was in charge of delivering sports stories, writing stories, and editing video clips.

Prior to working at KSN-TV, Kevin served as a production assistant at SportsNet New York from August 2017 to March 2018. Earlier, he worked for Cumulus Media as an anchor, producer, and engineer. As a producer, he was responsible for voicing live sports updates for Score 1260’s Sports Talk Show.

Kevin began his broadcasting career at CitrusTV in Syracuse where he started as an executive producer. Later on, he was promoted to sports director and then weekly producer before later working as an on-air talent. While there, Ryan covered various sports events mainly forcusing on Syracuse Basketball and Football. He also created various shows for the Orange Television Network and Time Warner Cable Sports. In addition to this, he also worked as a building manager at Syracuse University from January 2016 to May 2017.
