Kim Bodnia is a Danish actor of Jewish, Polish, and Russian descent famous for acting as police detective Martin Rohde in the Scandinavian crime drama series, The Bridge. He stars in the Netflix fantasy series, The Witcher as Vesemir.

From 1988 to 1991, he studied acting at the Copenhagen Theatre School. Bodnia said that he was not a good student and described himself as a “clown” that didn’t want to study. Mainly, he had interests in athletics mostly the 100 meters and the long jump. He served as the Zealand youth champion for multiple years. He wanted to be a football goalkeeper but due to a foot injury, he did not pursue the venture.

After his success, he launched the companies Bella Entertainment1 and Bella Film Production.
Also, he is known for playing the role of Konstantin in the 2018 BBC America spy thriller TV series, Killing Eve. In 2009, he attained the 62nd Bodil Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. Bodnia earned the Monte-Carlo Television Festival Award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series in 2014.
