Kim Quintero is an American Award-Winning Meteorologist was recently working on weekends on “Good Morning, Arizona!” from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., while forecasting fun events and businesses around the Valley. Quintero joined Arizona’s Family in February of 2013.

Weather, traffic, and reporting for both 3TV and CBS 5 can also be viewed on weekdays. She had been in Greenville, South Carolina for several years before tracking the monsoon, flash floods, dust storms, snowstorms, and wildfires of Arizona. There, she reported from the coast of Carolina that Superstorm Sandy and several other hurricanes had moved through. When EF 2 tornado damaged homes and wounded 10 people in North Carolina, Kim was killed.
From the freezing rain, the big hail, and their legendary “air you can wear” summers, Kim monitored and expected almost everything Mother Nature could do. Kim lived in the Pacific Northwest before the Southeast and worked for two years at a TV station in Eugene, Oregon. It reported and expected the Willamette Valley, the Cascades, and the Oregon Coast.
Kim was awarded a variety of awards from the Associated Press, including Best Investigative Reporting in Oregon, for an in-depth story about whether government institutions were prepared to respond to mass damage from a major earthquake. Most recently in Arizona, she won two NATAS Emmy Awards for her role on AZ Family’s annual monsoon specials. After receiving a BA in Mass Media and Journalism from Fresno State, she started her career at a TV station in her hometown. Later, she completed the Geosciences Broadcast Meteorology Program in Mississippi State.
