Kira Miner is an American meteorologist working for KOB 4 News as a weekday morning and noon meteorologist. Previously, she worked for KFOX/KDBC as a weekday evening meteorologist.

Miner joined Florida State University when she finished her high school education. She later graduated with a Bachelor Of Science degree in Meteorology and Geography. Further, she studied Broadcast Meteorology at Mississippi State University.

Miner works for KOB 4 News as a weekday morning and noon meteorologist. In this role, she helps New Mexico get ready for their day. She was fascinated with weather when she was a young child in Florida where summertime thunderstorms happened daily.
Her interest in meteorology increased after Category 5 Hurricane Andrew hit just south of her hometown. After graduating college, she worked as an intern and producer at a local affiliate during the most active Atlantic hurricane season on record.
Miner then moved to Tornado Alley where she did weather at KTAB in Abilene and familiarized herself with windstorms, ice, and snow. She then worked for WFTX in Cape Coral as a meteorologist and reporter. Next, she relocated to Fort Myers where she was a meteorologist at WINK.
After her time at WINK, she served WBBH/WZVN as a weekday forecaster three days a week and a weekend morning forecaster. She then served KARK/KLRT in Little Rock, Arkansas as a weekend weather forecaster and morning live feature reporter three days a week. There, she also filled in for the weekday evening weathercasts.
Miner moved from Little Rock to Tucson where she served KOLD/KMSB as a weekday morning meteorologist and was the primary fill-in on various newscasts. She then moved to Texas where she served KFOX/KDBC as a weekday evening meteorologist. Also, she provided daily radio weather forecasts.
