Kris Pickel is an American Award-winning former anchor and reporter known for having worked for CBS 5. Pickel joined CBS 5’s evening newscasts in June 2015 and departed in April 2022.

Pickel served as an anchor at CBS5 and Gray Television. Prior to her joining CBS 5, she worked for an NBC affiliate where she served as the main anchor. While there, she was awarded an Emmy Award for her unquestionable talent in journalism and worked for KOLD for about 10 years serving as an anchor. She also lead the station in winning an award after she had an exclusive investigation about injuries and riots that accompanied the University of Arizona’s NCAA win.

Pickel has also managed to win several awards ever since she started her journalism career including 8 Emmy Awards. She began her journalism career as a college intern at a local station. Whenever she is not working, she enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends. She also enjoys her free time serving the people of her community and also giving out donations to several non-profit organizations.
