Currie spent one and a half years there and then went to work for KRQE-TV (CBS & FOX affiliate) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She stayed there for 4 years and 6 months serving as a morning meteorologist, covering weather in the entire state of northeastern Arizona, southern Colorado, and New Mexico.

When Currie was growing up, she did not experience much in the way of weather (outside of the normal 80s & sunshine), until when she relocated to Colorado in the year 2009. In Colorado she experienced snow and thunderstorms, as well as changing of seasons – that is where the love of science began.

While in college, she interned at the ABC & FOX affiliates in Denver, Colorado, where she used to get her feet wet in forecasting the wild weather of the Rocky Mountain state. During her leisure time, she likes to eat (she is a big foodie!). She also loves to explore all Austin, TX has to offer. Currie is also a coffee and wine lover – she has already begun to adventure through ATX’s food & wine scene. She is of the Christian religion.
