Kristina Rex is an American reporter working for WBZ-TV in Boston serving as a reporter. She joined the station in August 2018, after working as a multimedia journalist and investigative reporter at WCSH in Portland, Maine.

Rex attended Phillips Academy in 2007 where she graduated in 2011 with a diploma. She then enrolled at Boston College where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication in 2015. Earlier, Kristina worked at WCSH & WLBZ in Portland where she served as a multimedia journalist from October 2015 to July 2018. She also filled in as a general assignment reporter where she covered significant news mainly focusing on politics, corruption, and crime issues.
During her time at WLBZ News, Rex covered multiple news including an electric company billing crisis and Maine’s opioid epidemic. In 2017, she reported Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath at KHOU as well as travel to Houston for coverage. On top of this, Kristina was also honored with the Maine Association of Broadcasters award for her coverage of Portland’s Unsolved Homicides.
Rex began her journalism journey at WHDH-TV in Boston working as a sports intern. While there, she conducted exclusive interviews with prominent leaders such as Head Patriots Coach Bill Belichick, Devin McCourty, and Patrice Bergeron of the Boston Bruins. In addition, she was also in charge of writing stories, editing, and pitching new ideas.
Before working at WHDH-TV, Kristina spent four months working as a social media intern at Kel & Partners. During her time there, she advertised campaign programs for companies such as FLOR Modular Carpet Tiles, Carlisle Wide Plank Floors, and Cumberland Farms. Besides working for Kel & Partners, Rex also served as an intern at WCVB-TV in Needham from May 2014 to August 2014.
