Kristy Steward is an American meteorologist working for WTKR as a weekend evening meteorologist on News 3. Her forecasts can be viewed at 10 p.m. on WGNT Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. She joined the station in May 2021. Previously, she worked for WNKY in Bowling Green as a morning and noon meteorologist.

Steward attended Penn State University after completing her high school education. When she finished her studies in 2018, she became a graduate and attained a Bachelor Of Science degree in Meteorology and Atmospheric Science.
While in college, she broadcasted as a freshman and partook in all six student-run show opportunities. Further, she visited three cross-country on storm-chasing trips where she witnessed tornadoes. Also, she worked for WRAL in Raleigh and KTTC in Rochester as an intern.

Aside from meteorology studies at WNKY, she worked for their sister station WGTA as an anchor, co-host, and meteorologist. Also, she launched a weekly weather podcast with the evening meteorologist. In her free time, she loves to explore all of southeast Virginia and northeast North Carolina with her dog and two cats.
