Kyla Grogan is an American News Anchor/Reporter, and meteorologist working for KRON 4. She joined the station on Monday, Aug. 1, 2022. She joined the station on Monday, Aug. 1, 2022. Most recently she worked as a meteorologist for KTVU.

After high school, Grogan studied and graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and also a Bachelor’s degree in Geosciences/Meteorology from MSU.

Before her television career, Kyla sang and danced in musicals all over the globe. Some of her highlights were Starlight Express in Germany, The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Beehive, and Smokey Joe’s Cafe. She also got to sing on a fancy world cruise where she got to see Antarctica, Easter Island, Papua New Guinea, and everywhere in between. Traveling gave Kyla experience and also got her addicted to seeing new places and learning about new cultures.

After her worldwide adventure, Kyla made her way into television where she started off as an anchor and reporter. She then switched and developed an interest in the weather after jumping on the green screen. Kyla worked her way to The Weather Channel and worked alongside a great team of meteorological minds, she even picked up a few skills.

Grogan joined KTVU in 2018. She had previously worked in CBS Philly, NYC, and Los Angeles before finally landing a position as a meteorologist at KTVU. In November 2021, Grogan announced that she was leaving the station KTUV station based in Oakland after three years of being part of the crew. On July 18, 2022, KRON 4 News announced that Grogan will join the team as a Daytime Meteorologist. She will provide weather reports for KRON 4 News at Noon, and KRON 4 News at 3 pm.
