She was also among the first reporters who covered the first cruise ships that landed on the port of Oakland carrying the first COVID-19-positive patients in the U.S.
Before joining KOVR News, Laura for News 12 Networks in Soundview Ave Bronx where she served as a news reporter. During her time there, she worked for two years and three months from October 2017 to December 2019. She began her broadcasting career as a news assistant at NY1 News from October 2016 to October 2017.
Earlier, Haefeli spent nearly two years working for Saturday Night Live as an intern from September 2013 to May 2015. In addition to working at Saturday Night Live, she also worked for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as an intern.
