Lauren Trager is an American Award-winning reporter working for KMOV-TV serving as a chief investigative reporter. She joined the station in September 2015, after working as a reporter at Belo in St. Louis.

Upon completing high school, Lauren attended Kalamazoo College in 2003 where she graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and English. While there, she served as a reporter at Kalamazoo Gazette from February 2007 to July 2007.

Trager serves as a chief investigative reporter at KMOV-TV in St. Louis. She also covered a variety of news starting from corruption, crimes, health, storm, and tornadoes. In addition, she also went undercover where she reported the federal filings as well as covered issues that affected the marriage age in Missouri. For her outstanding work, Lauren was recognized and honored with various awards such as a Missouri Broadcaster’s Award, a regional Edward R. Murrow award, and regional Emmy awards.
Prior to joining the station in September 2015, Trager worked for Belo in St. Louis as a reporter. She served the station for one year from March 2013 to March 2014. Earlier, she served as an anchor and reporter at KARK in Little Rock from August 2008 to February 2013. As an anchor, Lauren was in charge of delivering major breaking news, editing, shooting, and producing videos.
Trager started her career at KARN as a radio presenter from July 2007 to August 2008. Aside from working as a journalist, she also served as a public information officer at the Circuit Attorney’s Office from March 2014 to September 2015. Aside from working as an investigative reporter, Lauren is also involved in various charitable organizations where she gives back to the community.
