Tokars works with WSBT 22 News where she serves the station as a Morning News Anchor for WSBT22 First in the Morning. She is happy to be back at the station as she previously worked for the station in 2008 when she was serving the station as a reporter and fill-in anchor for WSBT. She was privileged to be recognized by the Indiana Associated Press Award for “Best Enterprise Story” in the year 2015. This was for her reporter “Shoot, Don’t Shoot” in which she went behind the scenes to show how police officers train to know when to fire their guns.

Asides from this, she was awarded “Best Investigative Reporter” in the year 2009 for her report that uncovered how some governmental agencies were putting the identity to risk. She has previously worked in Terre Haute, Indiana, and has an exciting internship at Fox News Channel in New York City. Tokars is a proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame and St. Joseph’s High School.
