Lee Faria Biography
Lee Faria is an American journalist working for KOB 4 News as the sports director. Also, he presents the Lobo Insider series that provides information about the University of New Mexico Lobo men’s basketball team. He joined the station in 1994 as a reporter and has served the station for more than 2 decades.

During his career, Faria has won several awards. For instance, he won the Associate Press New Mexico Sportscaster of the Year award and the Associate Press Best Story of the Year award in 1998. One of his proudest moments was covering UNM at Wake Forest for an NIT playoff game, which exclusively aired on KOB 4.
Faria believes that KOB’s in-depth analysis of each game sets them apart from other stations’s reports that just provide highlights of the games. He in collaboration with the station scout reports and highlights different players both on the court and in the classroom.
Faria is recognized for his in-depth broadcasts of Lobo basketball. He landed his first broadcasting job in Oakland, California at KTVU as an associate producer. After working in Oakland, he relocated to Bend, Oregon where he served KTVZ as the sports director.
