Lee Haywood is an American meteorologist working for WWAY as the chief meteorologist since joining the station in August 2019. Previously, he worked as a meteorologist at WSAV in Savannah, Georgia, for almost 2 decades.

Haywood joined UNC-Asheville after finishing his high school education. In 1998, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology.

He launched his career at KIMT in Mason City, Iowa, in 1999.
