Len Kiese Biography
Len Kiese is an American Emmy Award-Winning journalist working for KPIX5 serving as an anchor. He joined the station in 2020.

Kiese attended Mergenthaler Vo-Tech High School in Baltimore in 1994 and studied the field of printing graduating in 1997. He then joined Towson University in 1998. He specialized in Electronic Media–Television graduating in 2005.
Len Kiese Career
Kiese is an anchor who knew he wanted to be a journalist when he was in high school. That’s when his English teacher at Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High in Baltimore, MD singled him out to read the morning announcements over the school’s PA system. And it just felt right!
He landed his first job before graduating at WALB-TV in Albany, GA where he began by serving as a reporter but was eventually promoted to weekend evening anchor. He then moved to Jackson, FL where he was offered another reporting position at First Coast News. After a short while, he was anchoring Good Morning Jacksonville on weekends. He also worked in Columbia, SC for some years where he served as one of the weekday mornings faces for WIS Sunrise. It was here that he and the morning team won an Emmy for their coverage of the removal of the Confederate flag from statehouse grounds.
Kiese was also on the desk for continuous coverage when nine people were killed at a Charleston church. Due to this coverage, he was named Anchor of the Year by the South Carolina Broadcasters Association. He then moved back to Florida at WFTV in Orlando, FL where he served as an anchor as well as a reporter. Additionally, he worked for WFTV Orlando for about 4 years then moved to KPIX5 News. He is also very much glad to be calling the Bay Area home and lives in the East Bay. Kiese enjoys spending as much quality time as possible with his family and friends whenever he is not working. He is also very much active on his social media platforms including Facebook, and Twitter.
