Leticia Ordaz is an American Anchor/Reporter working for KCRA 3 News where she serves the station as a weekend morning anchor and weekday morning reporter. She joined the KCRA 3 News team working as a general assignment reporter in the year 2003.

Leticia Ordaz is an Emmy-nominated anchor/reporter. She’s covered some of the biggest stories in the country. Leticia joined KCRA 3 in 2003 as a general assignment reporter. She anchors weekend mornings on KCRA 3 and reports weekday mornings on KCRA 3 and My58.

Ordaz works with KCRA 3 News where he serves the station as a Weekend Morning anchor and weekday reporter. The Emmy-nominated anchor/reporter covered some of the biggest stories in the country. She was raised in Northern California and is a proud graduate of Galt High School and California State University, Sacramento. Ordaz has received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications with a minor in government. She has also interned at KCRA 3 while attending CSUS.

Prior to coming to KCRA 3, she was at KMPH in Fresno, where she was serving as a reporter. She kick-started he broadcast career in the small town of Elko, Nevada where she was serving as a morning anchor/reporter for KENV. Asides from this, she has also worked in Bakersfield as a general assignment reporter for KGET.

Away from work, she is busy promoting literacy by teaming up with schools and non-profits to read to students and young hospital patients. She is also an award-winning author at the International Latino Book Awards, the largest Latino Book Awards.

Being a mother of two young boys, she is happy to share diverse stories with children everywhere. She hopes to break barriers and change statistics that show only 5% of American children’s book feature Latinx characters or subjects. There, are only 5% of Latinx authors and illustrators published in the U.S.

She is a proud member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, the International Society of Latino Authors (ISLA), and the San Francisco/Northern California Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. She is fluent in Spanish.
