Lindsey Anderson Biography
Lindsey Anderson is an American meteorologist who previously worked for KSHB as a weekday morning meteorologist. She joined the station in July 2016 and worked there for 9 years until her departure in July 2025.
Lindsey Anderson Education
Anderson joined North Carolina State University in Raleigh in 2009 after finishing her high school education. In 2013, she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology with minors in Mathematics and Environmental Science.
While in college, Anderson received the AMS Academic Achievement Award and AMS Scholarship. She was also involved with the AMS Central Chapter, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, NCSU Forecast & Broadcast Club, Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, Dean’s List, and Scholars Program. Moreover, she was a teaching assistant and an undergraduate research assistant.

Anderson worked for KSHB as a weekday morning meteorologist. Her favorite part of the job is bonding with the viewers and using science to explain the forecast understandably. She also takes pride in being a trustworthy source during severe weather.
Though she’ll miss forecasting East Coast weather and the tropics, Anderson looks forward to taking on the challenge of forecasting and tracking severe thunderstorms. Previously, she worked as a weekend meteorologist and weather reporter at WDBJ in Roanoke, Virginia, for 3 years.
While in Virginia, Anderson was on duty during some of the area’s most unforgettable weather events, including a snowstorm in February 2014. She holds the American Meteorological Society’s Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) designation, which recognizes excellence in on-air weathercasting.
Aside from her work on TV, Anderson enjoys teaching young scientists about weather! She loves it when someone learns something new while listening to her forecasts! She hopes to deliver the most recent and accurate forecasts to help protect viewers and the community.
