Lisa Carberg Biography

Lisa Carberg is an American journalist working for WTNH as a news anchor and medical reporter since joining the station in May 2019. Previously, she worked for NBC Connecticut as a TV news anchor and reporter for 13 years.

Carberg joined Suffolk University in 1988 after finishing her studies at Old Saybrook Senior High School. In 1990, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a Journalism track. There, she won a Peabody Award for her anchoring during the broadcast of the Sandy Hook school shootings with a team of professionals.

Carberg has also provided coverage for the Olympics and interviewed numerous politicians and celebrities. Also, she worked as a panelist in a gubernatorial debate and has been a congressional debate moderator. Before returning to Connecticut, she served TV stations in Wilmington, North Carolina, and Savannah, Georgia.

Carberg loves friends and contacts all over Connecticut, which she has made during her time working in West Hartford for many years. Also, she works alongside numerous non-profit groups around Connecticut, where she emcees events, walks, and helps them with publicity.
