Garza joined Dallas College in 2016 when she finished her high school education. In 2018, she graduated with an Associate Of Arts degree in Mass Communication F.O.S Broadcast Journalism. There, she served The Richland Chronicle.

In Austin, she worked for Univision Austin as a multimedia journalist broadcasting stories that affect the Hispanic community. She also covered education, politics, immigration, and harsh weather. After graduating college, she worked for Oakcrest Private School as a Spanish teacher. She then served Telemundo Laredo as a multimedia journalist.
