She is a member of the National Academy of Arts and Science, Michigan Chapter, earning two Emmy nominations for her anchoring and writing skills. She then worked for CW6 – Bay City Television as a Newswriter/Video Editor from August 2013 to October 2014. From June 2013 to August 2013, she worked for Verican as a Multi-media Journalist.
