Luke Vickery Biography
Luke Vickery is an American meteorologist working for WESH 2 & CW18 as a weekend forecaster at 6, 10 and 11 p.m. since joining the station in July 2026. Previously, he served as a weekend evening meteorologist at KETV Newswatch 7, WISN’s sister station in Omaha, Nebraska, for 3 years.

Vickery joined Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University in August 2019 after high school. In May 2023, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. There, he was involved with Cronkite News.
Vickery also studied at The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University, where he obatined his Bachelor of Science degree in Geography (Meteorology-Climatology), Atmospheric Sciences, and Meteorology.
While in college, Vickery was the president of Weather and Climate Club at ASU from Fall of 2021 through Spring of 2022. He also worked as a weather intern at KMBC 9 in Kansas City, Missouri. Moreover, he was involved with the National Weather Service Student Volunteer Program.

While in Omaha, Vickery tested his skills during a relentless 2024 storm season. He delivered critical broadcasts during the devastating Arbor Day tornado outbreak and the severe July windstorm that knocked out power to over 200,000 residents across the Omaha metro region.
