Lydia Kulbida is an American journalist of Ukrainian descent working for NEWS10 ABC as an anchor and reporter. She joined the station in September 2009 after broadcasting in the Capital Region for almost a decade. Since March 2009, she has worked as a blogger for the Times Union. Previously, she served WNYT in Albany, New York as an anchor and reporter for 9 years.

Kulbida came to the Capital Region after working in Springfield, Massachusetts at WWLP-TV 22 as the 5 p.m. anchor and reporter for over 4 years. Her career started when she worked in the North Country as an anchor and reporter at TV-8 in Glens Falls. For 4 years, she worked in Buffalo as a news anchor. Also, she worked for the National Public Radio affiliate there, WBFO-FM, as a music director.
Even though she has broadcasted many huge stories, Kulbida holds the most pride in her community and charity involvement. For example, her work with the Alzheimer’s Association of Northeastern New York, Zorepad Ukrainian Folk Dancers, the March of Dimes, the Legal Project, Living Resources, and the Center for Independence. The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children honored her for her work in encouraging the safety and well-being of children.
