Madison Tromler is an American journalist working for WFMJ as the co-anchor of 21 News 6 p.m. and a multimedia journalist since January 2021. She joined the station in May 2020 as a news reporter. Previously, she served TV2 KSU as an anchor, reporter, and producer.
Madison Tromler Education
Tromler joined Kent State University in 2017 when she finished her high school education. In 2020, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. Most of her college career was spent at the NBC affiliate WKYC 3News in Cleveland where she ran the assignment desk and worked in the field with reporters and photographers.
In August 2019, she went on an assignment in Dayton to broadcast a mass shooting. In this role, she contributed to live broadcasts on the scene. She also worked for Kent State’s student-led TV station, TV2 as an anchor, reporter, and producer throughout college.
Broadcasting the Ohio Governor’s race party live in Columbus serves as among her favorite memories. Also, she experienced aspects of journalism including internships at the Chronicle-Telegram Newspaper in Elyria, and oWOW, an online Cleveland radio station.

Upon joining WFMJ, she first worked as a news reporter. Her most unforgettable memory at WFMJ is exclusively interviewing President-Elect Joe Biden one-on-one at a train station in Alliance. During this time, she held him responsible for Mahoning Valley’s notable issues.
Tromler broadcasted a visit from Vice President Mike Pence as he revealed America’s first all-electric pickup truck at Lordstown Motors. Tromler has a passion for journalism and always knew that her passion for writing would steer her to a TV news career when she was very young.
