After graduating college, KGMB employed her as an associate producer. Richardson then received a promotion to work as a reporter and eventually got to the anchor desk. She relocated to Portland where she reported for KGW. After working in Portland, she went to serve KITV as a morning anchor for eleven years.
Some of the most unforgettable stories in her career include broadcasting President Obama’s first swearing-in, the lava at Kilauea, the Hokulea’s appearance on Easter Island, and interviewing Donald Trump. She produced and hosted “War with Iraq, Through the Eyes of Hawaii’s Keiki,” for which she won the Edward R. Murrow Award.
Pacific Business News mentioned her in its 2017 Women Who Mean Business Women to Watch list. A 2016 cohort of Pacific Century Fellows, Richardson serves as a board member of Friends of Shriners and Ka Honua Momona on Molokai.
