Marco Ramirez is an American journalist working for KVEO CBS 4 News as a morning anchor and reporter. He joined the station in July 2021 as a reporter for CBS 4 News and NBC 23 News. Previously, he worked for KMID Big 2 News in Midland-Odessa as a multimedia journalist and reporter for a year.

Ramirez joined the University of Texas at Austin after completing his high school education at McAllen High School. While in college, he discovered his love for broadcast journalism when he joined the news unit at Texas Student Television. Later, he received a promotion to work as an executive producer for the Texas News Channel, a weekly newscast. Moreover, he worked for CBS Evening News as an intern alongside Norah O’Donnell in New York City
During his time at CBS News, he helped relaunch the Evening News program when Norah O’Donnell started anchoring. Also, he and four fellow interns produced “Death with Dignity” which aired live on CBSN. His team secured the CBS News internship competition.
Ramirez left New York and joined the NBC affiliate in Austin, Texas, KXAN News. While in Texas, he obtained experience in a local newsroom by helping reporters and producers. Also, he wrote web stories for KXAN’s digital team. In 2020, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and American Studies.
