Maria Molina is an American Meteorologist known for her time working with FOX News Channel(FNC) serving the station as an On-Air Meteorologist between 2010 and 2016. She is now working with the National Center for Atmospheric Research(NCAR) where she serves the team as an Advanced Study Program (ASP) postdoctoral.

Molina attended Barbara Goleman Senior High School. Later on, she went on to join Florida State University where she graduated cum laude in the year 2018. It is here that she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology and minors in Mathematics and Communications. While she was at Florida State University, she also completed the University Honors Program and the Honors in the Major Program requirements.

After this, she joined Columbia University in the City of New York where she graduated in the year 2015. There, she obtained a Master of Arts Degree in Climate and Society. Asides from this, she also earned her Ph.D. from Central Michigan University in the Earth and Ecosystem Science Doctoral Program. There, she was also a graduate research assistant.

The Nicaragua native was raised in Hialeah, Florida. She attributes her interest in meteorology to her experience with Category 5 Hurricane Andrew which hit her hometown in South Florida when she was 5 years old.

She is privileged to have earned her Certified Broadcast Meteorologist(CBM) designation from the American Meteorological Society(AMS). Molina joined the FOX News Channel team in the month of October 2010. There, she provided weather updates on many Fox shows. This is in addition to appearing regularly on the FOX & Friends morning show until she left the station in the month of September 2016.

Molina was credited with being the youngest meteorologist on cable television in the year 2012. While working with Fox News, she also appeared on FOX Business, FOX News Latino, Fox Sports Networks, and FOX News Radio. Asides from this, she also served as a part-time meteorologist at WJBK FOX2 News in Detroit mainly on weekend newscasts while she was pursuing her doctoral degree in Michigan. Prior to joining FOX News, she was working as a bilingual TV meteorologist for AccuWeather in State College, Pennsylvania, for which she provided weather forecasts in both Spanish and English.
