Hilario works at WJAR NBC 10 in Providence, Rhode Island where he serves as an anchor and a reporter. prior to joining NBC 10, he served as a managing editor and an anchor for Metro News in Brockton, Massachusetts. Before that, Mario worked at WLNE-TV where he served as a general assignment reporter. Additionally, Hilario is a member of the Alpha II Class of Leadership Rhode Island, an organization that brings together community leaders.

In addition to that, he has written and reported two half-hour specials on issues important to Southern New England residents. Some of the reports including “Breaking the Silence” examined the issue of domestic violence from the unique perspective of those who perpetrate the abuse.

Moreover, Mario has been nominated for five Emmys and won an Associated Press award for his work on the special “Where Do We Live?” Hilario began her journalism career at WLVI-TV where he served as a director. Furthermore, he graduated in 1992 from Emerson College in Boston.
