Mark Blum was an American actor in movies, on television, and on the stage who was best known for starring on ‘Desperately Seeking Susan’ and ‘You.’

Blum attended Columbia High School in Maplewood, New Jersey where he graduated in 1968 and was inducted into the school’s hall of fame in 2012. He then graduated from the University of Pennsylvania.

Blum began acting on stage in the 1970s. In the 1980s, Blum appeared on; Lovesick (1983), Desperately Seeking Susan (1985), Crocodile Dundee (1986), Just Between Friends (1986), Blind Date (1987), and The Presidio (1988).

On television, Blum co-starred in Sweet Surrender in 1987. Blum also appeared in the following: Capital News in 1990, Frasier (season 5) in 1997, and NYPD Blue in 1999. From 2014 to the present, Blum has appeared in Mozart in the Jungle and Coin Heist (2017).

On Broadway, Blum appeared in Gore Vidal’s The Best Man, Neil Simon’s Lost In Yonkers, and Richard Greenberg’s The Assembled Parties. In 2013, Blum appeared as Max in the Primary Stages production of The Model Apartment. Blum currently is on the faculty of HB Studio in New York City.

In 2018, he was cast in a recurring role as Ivan Mooney in the former Lifetime thriller series, You.
