Mark Levin Biography
Mark Levin (full name – Mark Reed Levin) is an American Lawyer, TV, Radio Personality, Author, and Host who is best known for hosting The Mark Levin Show, and Fox News’s “Life, Liberty & Levin”.
He is also known for having worked in Pres. Ronald Reagan’s administration and Edwin Meese’s (Attorney General) chief of staff. Levin is also a N.Y. Times best-selling author and is the former pres. of the Landmark Legal Foundation. He is a regular contributor of commentary to media outlets like National Review Online. He has also been serving as the editor-in-chief of the Conservative Review since the year 2015 and he is well-known for his incendiary commentary.
CNN, Politico, The N.Y. Times, and NPR have described Levin as “right-wing”. Levin is also well-known for his strident encouragement of primary challenges to congressional Republicans, and criticisms of Democrats – Levin considers being RINO – Republican In Name Only. In the 2016 Republican Party presidential primaries, Levin supported Ted Cruz and declared himself “Never Trump”. However, he aversely advocated for Trump after winning the Republican nomination. His commentary became strongly pro-Trump during his presidency years.

Levin started his career in broadcasting on conservative talk radio programs where he appeared as a guest. For multiple years, he contributed legal opinions for The Rush Limbaugh Show, where he often appeared as the Monica Lewinsky scandal developed. At the time, Sean Hannity (a famous American conservative political commentator, talk show host, and author) was knowing him and started to be featured on The Hannity Radio Show.
Ultimately, he got hired by WABC Radio in the year 2002, where he aired every Sunday. He began co-hosting on The Hannity Radio Show officially in the year 2003. Levin has been part of an annual benefit concert known as Freedom Concerts, where he used his radio program to provide support for military families, as well as families of fallen soldiers. He strongly volunteers in a charity organization known as Move America Forward, where he helps in sending care packages to soldiers serving overseas. Levin was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame on November 16, 2018.

Levin is the host of his own conservative talk radio show, “The Mark Levin Show”. This show airs nationwide on Westwood One and reaches approximately 7,000,000 listeners every week. The “Talkers” assessment puts Mark’s listenership in a tie with “The Glenn Beck Radio Program” for the 4th-most-listened-to talk radio program in the U.S. and, counting all radio formats, is the 7th-most-listened-to radio show in the U.S.
This program is in a one-decade contract with Westwood One (February 11, 2016 – 2026). It broadcasts on the SIRIUS XM Patriot channel, as well as on more than 150 stations. The program has been rated #1 in its time slot in Dallas–Fort Worth, Detroit, New York, Washington DC, and Chicago. It airs from 6 PM to 9 PM PT and ET. “The Mark Levin Show” was originally released on May 5, 2002, and it aired locally at the time. It began a national show on January 30, 2006.

Levin started his TV career in the year 2014 when he became the founding editor-in-chief of a multi-platform online TV network known as “Conservative Review”. In the year 2018, this network partnered with “TheBlaze” (Glenn Beck’s terrestrial network) to form “Blaze Media”. Blaze Media airs many programs such as Louder with Crowder, Truth Be Told, America Bolling, In the Woods with Phil, Roaming Millennial, Louder with Crowder, and Kibbe on Liberty…just to name a few.
Announcements were made by Fox News in November 2017 that it had signed Mark for “Life, Liberty & Levin” (a weekend show) to air every Sunday night. The show began officially in February 2018. The show’s objective is to explore the fundamental principles and values undergirding American current events, culture, society, and politics as well as their relevance to the country’s future and the lives of everyday American citizens. Mark Levin Political Career
Levin went to work for Texas Instruments immediately after he graduated from law school. In the year 1981, he served in Pres. Ronald Reagan’s administration. He started working for the federal agency “ACTION”, which was responsible for overseeing VISTA, as well as other volunteer agencies. After that, Levin went to work as deputy assistant secretary for secondary and elementary education at the United States Department of Education. Also, he served as the deputy solicitor for the United States Department of the Interior. Eventually, he went on to serve as chief of staff to Edwin Meese (Attorney General).
After Levin departed from Ronald’s administration, he went to practice law in the private sector. In the year 1991, he joined Landmark Legal Foundation (the public interest law firm), where he was the director of legal policy. Also, he served as the firm’s Washington-based Center for Civil Rights and then became president in the year 1997.
Levin was awarded Ronald Reagan Award in the year 2001 by the American Conservative Union. This award was for his work with Landmark Legal. He used to earn an annual salary of over $300K while as president of Landmark Legal Foundation. In the year 2018, he retired as president of the firm but remained a member of its board of directors.

Mark Levin COVID-19
During the coronavirus pandemic, he downplayed the virus’s threat, where he argued that the media overreacted. He also argued that the total number of dead individuals from the flu was higher than that of COVID-19.
Mark Levin Donald Trump–Ukraine Inversion
Levin vehemently defended Donald Trump’s actions after pressing Putin (Ukraine’s Pres.) to begin an investigation into Joe Biden (Democratic presidential candidate) and his son. Levin also defended Donald Trump in the year October 2019 during Trump’s impeachment inquiry.
Mark Levin 2020 election
Levin was against Pres. Joe Biden (Democrat) after he won the 2020 presidential election – he said that Democrats stole the elections, and insisted on his Twitter which had over 2.4M followers. He also commended a member of the legal team of Donald Trump, Sidney Powell, whom he considered being her patriotic after fostering conspiracy theories about the 2020 election and aiming to overturn election results.

Mark Levin Illness / Heart Attack
In an episode of “Life, Liberty & Levin” on FOX News, on June 13, 2021, Levin revealed that he has undergone heart surgery. He stated that he suffered a heart attack in June 2000 and underwent a heart procedure. Levin added that after the surgery, he still went through complications – he was in and out of hospitals for a few months after the heart procedure.
