Marsha Mueller Biography
Marsha Mueller is the mother of Kayla Mueller who was an American human rights activist and humanitarian aid worker from Prescott, Arizona, US. Her daughter was killed by ISIS in Syria. Marsha Mueller is one of the speakers at the 2020 Republican National Convention where she will be speaking on the fourth day.
In August 2013, Kayla Mueller was taken captive in Aleppo, Syria, after leaving a Doctors Without Borders hospital. Media had long reported that a 26-year-old American aid worker was being held by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) without revealing her name, at her family’s request. In 2015, Kayla Mueller was killed in uncertain circumstances.

In February 2015, U.S. officials confirmed that she had died while in ISIS custody, but her body was never recovered. On February 10, 2015, her family announced ISIS had confirmed her death to them in an e-mail, with three photographs of her dead body, bruised on the face, and wearing a black hijab.
