Downing, a Mississippi State University graduate, moved to Fargo in May of 2018. Growing up as a military child, he traveled across the country and developed an interest in connecting with others as well as a scientific curiosity. This combination led to a career in Broadcast Meteorology.
KVRR (UHF digital channel 19) is a Fox-affiliated television station licensed to Fargo, North Dakota, in the United States. It is Red River Broadcasting’s flagship television property, and the company has owned the station since its inception. KVRR’s Fargo studios are on South 40th Street and South 9th Avenue, and its transmitter is near Tansem, Minnesota. In addition, KVRR handles master control and some internal operations for sister station and fellow Fox affiliate KQDS-TV in Duluth, Minnesota.
The programming of KVRR is simulcast on three full-power satellite stations: KJRR (VHF channel 7) in Jamestown, ND, KBRR (VHF channel 10) in Thief River Falls, MN/Grand Forks, ND, and KNRR (VHF channel 12) in Pembina, ND (which also covers parts of southern Manitoba, Canada, including Winnipeg).
