Marty Snyder is an American meteorologist working for 13WHAM as the morning meteorologist on 13WHAM ABC and Fox Rochester. He joined the station in 2005 and has served the station for over 2 decades. Previously, he worked as a morning meteorologist for the CBS affiliate in Richmond, Virginia.

Snyder joined SUNY Oneonta after finishing his education at Greece Athena High School. He later graduated with a Bachelor’s degree. While in college, he was a student volunteer with the National Weather Service in Binghamton for a semester.

While in college, he picked two independent studies of local weather patterns and events. In one, he determined what influenced Rochester’s infamous March 1991 ice storm. He described some of the key components that can come together to produce some of the more significant lake effect snow events in the eastern Great Lakes region.

Snyder worked as a morning meteorologist for the CBS affiliate in Richmond, Virginia. He then decided to return to Western New York to be closer to family. Now, he is happy to call Ontario County home, where he lives with his wife and kids.
