Prior to that, he worked at KING-TV where he served as a reporter, production assistant, and associate producer from 1987 to 1990 in Seattle, WA.

He is also a recipient of the New York State Broadcasters Association, The Associated Press, and The New York Association of Black Journalists. In addition to that, he is also active when it comes to helping out in the community. She works at the non-profit board of NY City Center, Susan G. Komen for the Cure/NYC, previously served at PENCIL, and The Northside Center for Child Development.
