Megan Thompson is an American journalist working for KNXV ABC 15 Arizona as a traffic news anchor. She joined in July 2019 as an enterprise and investigative reporter and fill-in anchor. Previously, she served KGUN9 in Tucson as a reporter and multimedia journalist for a year.

Also, she placed 1st in the Television News Anchor category in April 2016, and in the 2015/2016 Student News Broadcast Education Association Awards.

In 2015, she won the National Hearst Journalism Awards in the Television category and ‘Best Use of Television for News Coverage,’ during the June 2015 competition. The Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards Southwest Chapter awarded her a Student Production Award in the News: General Assignment category in 2015. After graduating college, she served KGUN9 in Tucson as a reporter and multimedia journalist for a year.
