Megan Wise Biography

Megan Wise is an American Emmy-award-winning meteorologist for NBC12 in Richmond, Virginia since joining the station in 2015. A Pittsburgh native, Wise studied at Choctawhatchee High School. She then graduated from the Millersville University of Pennsylvania with a BS in meteorology.

Prior to joining NBC12 in November 2015, Wise was at WDEF-TV in Chattanooga, Tennessee. While there, Wise was the weekend evening meteorologist and solo evening anchor, and producer. Additionally, Wise was the host of “Megan Wise Goes Outside” where she did everything from caving to hang gliding.

She began her career as the morning meteorologist and fill-in morning anchor/producer at KTVO-TV in Kirksville, Missouri. During her free, Wise can be found golfing, cheering on the Steelers, Pens, and Pirates, and hanging out with her Labrador retriever, Boss.
