Meghan Drakas is an American Anchor and Multimedia Journalist working for KMIZ-TV in Columbia, Missouri as the evening anchor. She joined the station in January 2021 as a Multimedia Journalist.

Drakas first enrolled at Perkiomen Valley High School. Later In 2016, she joined Pennsylvania State University commonly known as Penn State University to pursue her Bachelor’s in Journalism and Communication Technology and later graduated in 2020. At Penn State, she expanded on her academic curiosity, attaining minors in Sociology and Digital Media Trends and Analytics.
Drakas continued her college education successfully and in May 2020, she finished her studies, becoming an alumnus of the university. Also, she has been an intern for several stations inclusive of FOX 29’s Good Day Philadelphia, 6 ABC Action News Special Projects, WFMZ’s Sunrise Show, and The Sanatoga Post.

Drakas works for ABC 17 News television as an Evening Anchor. She joined the station in January 2021 as a multimedia journalist, a position she held until July 2021. She was then promoted to being a weekend morning anchor and later a weekday morning anchor in May 2022. Drakas then took the position of an evening anchor in August 2023.
While working as an evening anchor, Meghan’s investigative skills were valuable for the news channel and earned her a great achievement. Her ‘Tackling Homelessness in Mid-Missouri’ series received the honorable ‘Best News Series’ title during the 2024 Missouri Broadcaster’s Association Awards.
