Melanie Black is an American meteorologist working for FOX Weather as an on-air host and meteorologist since joining the network in 2026. Previously, she worked as a weekend morning meteorologist at WHDH-TV in Boston.

Black joined the University of Arizona in 2008 after finishing high school. In 2012, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. While in college, she was involved with the Journalism Student Advisory Council, the school’s student chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, the Arizona Student Media Board, and the Alpha Phi- Beta Epsilon chapter.

Black spent less than a year at Arizona Public Media, starting as a journalism intern for the “Arizona Week.” She was then promoted to an on-air reporter for “Arizona Illustrated” before becoming a host and producer. In addition, she interned at KFVS-TV, KVOA-TV (NBC), and KOLD News 13 (CBS). She later earned her Meteorology Certification from Mississippi State University.
