Michael Gargiulo is a prominent American Emmy Award-winning Journalist working for NBC 4 New York as an Anchor. There, she serves as the co-anchor of Today in New York airing every weekday between 4 am to 7 am. He joined NBC 4 New York in June 2006. Since 2008, he has anchored Today in New York with Darlene Rodriguez and has been embedded with United States military units in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, and the Persian Gulf. He has been a news anchor who has reported from 20 countries and territories across North and Central America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Because of his reporting from Iraq and Kuwait, he earned an Emmy Award.
In 2009, he won an Emmy Award for breaking news coverage for his reporting on a crane collapse on the Upper East Side. The following year, he and Erika Tarantal won an Emmy for best morning newscast for Today in New York. In 2013, he won another breaking news Emmy. And in 2014, he and his NBC 4 New York colleagues won the Emmy Award for Oustanding Regional News Story-Spot News for their coverage of Hurricane Sandy.

There, he was the Washington correspondent for the company’s 21 television stations and reported from the White House, Capitol Hill, and around Washington DC. Prior to that, he was a reporter anchor at KSTP-TV from 1993 to 1997. From 1991 to 1993, he worked for WLKY-TV as a reporter. From 1987 to 1991, he was an anchor/reporter at WYOU-TV. He began his career at WSAZ-TV/PM Magazine as a host of the locally produced nationally syndicated magazine show from 1984 to 1987.
