Mikayla Smith is an American meteorologist for KOKI FOX 23 as a meteorologist since joining the station in April 2022. Previously, she worked for KXII in Sherman as a meteorologist for a year.

Smith joined the University of Oklahoma after finishing her high school education. Later, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology with double minors in Broadcast Journalism and Mathematics.
During her time in college, Smith worked as a forecaster for OU Nightly, the student-run newscast, for four years. Additionally, she worked as a senior weather producer during her senior year and was the director for the Oklahoma Weather Lab.

Besides the weather, Smith has a passion for using ASL to communicate weather occasions to the DoHH community. While in high school, she studied ASL for 6 years and hopes to put her skills to use in the DoHH community, as well as learn and grow more.
